Qatari Emir returns home

Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who was on a two-day state visit to Nepal, has returned home. Amir Thani of Qatar was received by President Paudel in the special room of Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Speaker, Speaker of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister and high officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also participated in the farewell program. On the same occasion, the Nepali Army offered a 21-gun salute. Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar landed at Tribhuvan Airport on Tuesday afternoon on a two-day state visit to Nepal at the friendly invitation of President Paudel.

President Paudel welcomed him in a very special room at the airport. From the airport, Amir Thani went directly to Rashtrapati Bhavan Sheetal Niwas. A bilateral meeting was held between President Poudel and the Emir of Qatar along with a delegation at Sheetal Niwas. President Poudel hosted a dinner in honor of the Emir of Qatar on Tuesday. Various cultural glimpses were also presented on the occasion.

The Emir of Qatar returned to his country after meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday and the meeting of delegations between the two countries at the lunch organized by the Prime Minister.
