Citizens of 57 countries to climb the mountains during spring
Citizens of 57 countries, including Nepal, have taken permission to climb the mountains during the spring season. According to the Tourism Department, 767 climbers from 57 countries have taken climbing permits to climb 26 different mountains. There are 163 women and 604 men from 86 groups who have taken permission to climb. Most of those who have received permission are from America and China. According to the data, the highest number of climbers are 66 from America, 64 from China, 30 from Britain, 22 from India, 19 from Japan and 17 from Russia.
According to the data of the department, 364 people have taken permission to climb Mount Everest this year. There are 68 women and 296 men from 34 groups among those who took permission. In the spring season of the previous year, only 478 people took permission to climb Mount Everest. The government has received 52 crore 32 lakh 60 thousand 999 rupees as Himalayan customs revenue only for climbing Mount Everest. Similarly, 58 crore 24 lakh 79 thousand 830 rupees revenue has been collected for the permission given in all the 26 mountains.
