Kaligandaki River Bank to Feature New Trekking Route, Boosting Tourism
A significant infrastructural project is currently underway along the picturesque banks of the Kaligandaki River in Nawalparasi district, aimed at significantly boosting religious and tourist activities within this culturally rich corridor. The Baudikali Rural Municipality has initiated the construction of a dedicated trekking route, commencing from the Balighat area. This ambitious undertaking seeks to draw both domestic and international visitors, enhancing the region’s appeal as a prominent destination.
The Kaligandaki River, revered for its sacred Shaligram stones and as a vital pilgrimage route leading to Muktinath, holds immense spiritual importance.
