New Route for Everest Summit Launched
A new route for climbing Mount Everest has been launched this spring. A new road has been prepared around the Lho La Peak near the first base camp, close to the route used before 2014.
Eight experienced mountaineer Sherpas had undertaken the task for identifying a new route for Everest summit from base camp to the second camp.. The Department of Tourism said that this time, since the snow was unstable on the route used in previous years, the “rope fixing” has been completed near the old route to the second camp.
Since the snow conditions on the road used from 2013 to 2014 were unstable, a new road was constructed. A group of eight experienced sherpas from the Everest Pollution Control Committee SPCC to the base camp on March 1 to prepare the road from the base camp to the second camp returned to the base camp after preparing the road to the second camp.
This time, the task of building the road over the second camp was given to ‘Seven Summit Treks’ by the mountain climbing management association. The team is preparing to build a road from the second base camp to the peak.
