High-Level Committee Formed to Spearhead ‘Law Reform Year’ Initiatives

KATHMANDU — The Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs formally constituted a high-level coordination committee tasked with executing structural targets for the designated ‘Law Reform Year’.

The panel was mandated to review legacy legislative frameworks, fast-track pending economic and civil code amendments, and harmonize overlapping statutes between federal, provincial, and local levels to improve the ease of doing business and strengthen institutional accountability.
