Government Halts New Permanent Staff Recruitment Across All Public Offices
KATHMANDU — In a major administrative restructuring move, the government officially suspended all new permanent staff recruitment across public offices for the current fiscal year.
The decision followed structural optimization policies that streamlined federal ministries from 22 down to 18. The hiring freeze was enacted to manage and reallocate surplus civil servants displaced by inter-ministerial mergers, ensuring optimal utilization of existing human resources before fresh vacancies are opened.
