Annual Revenue Collection Crosses Rs 1.2 Trillion Milestone
KATHMANDU — National revenue collections officially crossed the Rs 1.2 trillion mark just ahead of the fiscal year’s close, as recorded by the Financial Comptroller General Office.
While the intake recorded a 2.12 percent growth compared to the previous fiscal year’s total of Rs 1.178 trillion, it fell short of the ambitious annual target of Rs 1.48 trillion. The total collection comprised Rs 1.087 trillion in tax revenues and Rs 116 billion in non-tax inflows, alongside foreign grants totaling Rs 30.7 billion. Economists noted that despite administrative constraints, domestic revenue stabilization played a key role in cushioning public spending toward the final quarter.
