The 10 countries with the highest number of tourists in April are India, America, China, UK, Australia, Bangladesh, France, Germany, Russia and Malaysia respectively. Similarly, 4 thousand 3 tourists from Bangladesh, 3 thousand 755 from France, 3 thousand 270 from Germany, 2 thousand 977 from Russia and 2 thousand 310 tourists from Malaysia, which is at the tenth number, have visited Nepal, acoording to the Nepal Tourism Board.
Based on the regional division by the Tourism Board, 32 percent of tourists came to Nepal from the SAARC region, 18 percent from other regions of Asia except SAARC, 22 percent from Europe, 4.2 percent from the Oceania region, 10.4 percent from America, 10.3 percent from the Middle East, and 10.3 percent from other regions. . The government had declared 2023 to 2032 as the decade of tourism and aimed to reach 1 million in 2023. In 2023, 1 million one thousand 844 foreign tourists entered Nepal.
