KATHMANDU — The Federal Parliament Secretariat issued a formal compliance notice to all members of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly, reminding them to declare their assets following the close of the fiscal year.
In alignment with Section 50(1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2002, and Section 31A(1) of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Act, 1991, lawmakers must submit updated statements covering personal holdings and assets of immediate family members.
Parliament Secretariat Under Secretary Adhiraj Rai noted that legislators are required to disclose asset acquisition sources and documentation inside sealed envelopes submitted directly to the Lawmaker Benefits Management Branch within the strict 60-day legal window.
